House painters & painting contractors

Painting company website design that shows your work

Before a homeowner lets a painter in to quote a peeling exterior or a dated oak kitchen, they usually want to see jobs you have finished and find an easy way to ask for an estimate. A website is where they look for both.

We design and write your painting website around your own job photos, your services and the towns you cover. $69 to launch, then $35 a month. No contract.

Who is looking

What a painting contractor’s website has to do

Painting customers judge you by how your work looks, and much of the work depends on the season. A homeowner pricing an exterior in March and a property manager who needs a unit painted by Friday may land on the same site, and both should find what they need quickly.

Exterior repaints

Usually the largest jobs. Exterior paint needs dry, mild weather, so spring and fall weeks tend to fill first and many homeowners ask for estimates well ahead.

Interiors and cabinets

Rooms, trim and kitchen cabinets can be done in any month, which helps fill the winter. Customers are letting you into their home, so they look for signs that you are careful and clean up after yourself.

Property managers and HOAs

Rental turnovers, common areas and repaint cycles bring repeat work. These buyers want proof of insurance and a clear way to request a bid.

Small jobs and color help

A front door, an accent wall, porch railings, or mostly help choosing a color. If you take small jobs or offer color advice, say so and save both of you a call.

Many of these visitors decide from photos: a clean line where the wall meets the ceiling, or the house from the street after the job. So we build the site around your pictures and keep pages quick to load on a phone.

Free checklist

What to put on your painting company website (checklist)

Use it whether you build with us, hire someone else or do it yourself. Each item is something customers look for before they ask for an estimate.

  • Your phone number in the header, tappable. Use the same number as your Google Business Profile, yard signs and truck. Two numbers make people wonder which is real.
  • How your estimates work. Say whether they are free, whether you measure on site or quote from photos, and how soon you can come out. It is the first question on most calls.
  • Before-and-after photos of your own jobs. Shoot both from the same spot in good light and label the job and town. Stock photos of perfect rooms are easy to spot.
  • Each service on its own line. Interior, exterior, cabinet refinishing, deck and fence staining, drywall repair, wallpaper removal, commercial. List only what you do. Each one is its own search.
  • The towns and neighborhoods you work in. Write them out as text, not only a map image. People scan the list for their town.
  • Your license or registration number, where one applies. Rules differ by state and sometimes by city. Some require a contractor license or home improvement registration, often above a set job value, and some have no license for painting. Check your local rules and show the number if you have one.
  • Insurance, stated plainly. Say you carry general liability, and workers’ comp if you have it. Property managers often ask for a certificate of insurance, so tell them how to request one.
  • Lead-safe certification if you work on older homes. Under the EPA’s RRP rule, paid work that disturbs more than a small area of paint in homes built before 1978 has to be done by a Lead-Safe Certified firm. Show your certification, and check your state’s rules, since some states run their own program.
  • How you prep and protect the house. Covering floors and furniture, scraping, caulking, priming, daily cleanup, a final walk-through. It also shows customers what a lower quote may leave out.
  • The paint you use. Homeowners ask what goes on their walls. Name the lines you use, and mention a manufacturer’s contractor program only if you are enrolled.
  • Your warranty, only if it is in writing. Say how long and what it covers, in the same words as your contract.
  • When you are booking. A line like “now scheduling exterior work for April” helps people plan. Update it each season.

Rather hand it off? We go through this list on the onboarding call and publish only what you give us.

FAQ

Painting website questions, answered

Still unsure? Email us at getcraftlaunch@gmail.com.

How much does a painting company website from CraftLaunch cost?

$69 once to design, write and launch your site, then $35/month for hosting, the SSL certificate, security updates, SEO upkeep and edits by our team. It is month-to-month with no contract: cancel any time and it takes effect at the end of the month you have paid for.

Can I show before-and-after photos of my own jobs?

Yes, and you should. Send phone photos from before you start and after the last coat, ideally from the same spot, and we add them with the job type and town. New pairs go up as part of your included edits.

How do homeowners ask me for an estimate?

Your site has tap-to-call buttons and a contact form where they can describe the job and roughly when they want it done. If you are happy for people to text you photos first, we say so next to your number, and we spell out how your estimates work.

Can you show my license, insurance and lead-safe certification?

Yes. Give us your license number if your state issues one, your insurance details and your EPA Lead-Safe certification if you have it, and we place them where customers look. We only publish what you provide.

Exterior work slows down in winter. Can the site push interior jobs then?

Yes. Changing the headline or featured services is one of the edits included in your plan. Message us in November to lead with interiors and cabinets, and again in early spring for exteriors. It is usually live in 2–3 business days.

Will my painting website rank first on Google?

No one can honestly guarantee a first-page ranking. We use only search-engine-approved techniques: your city and services in every page title, your service area and map on the site, your business details marked up for Google and the site linked to your Google Business Profile. Results depend on your market and how established your business is.

Do I have to write the text or take photos?

You don't write anything. Our rep collects your services, towns and goals on one call, and we write the text from that and your real Google reviews. Photos of your finished work are the one thing we can't make for you, so send what you have and add more over time.

Let your finished rooms do the selling.
